Wireless thermostats for boilers
Smart temperature control without thermostat wiring, with RF receiver included and remote control from your phone.
Quicksmart wireless thermostats are designed for boilers, apartments, houses and renovations where additional wiring through finished walls is not desirable. Q20 and Q30 can operate as standalone thermostat systems with an RF receiver and can be controlled locally or through Smart Life / Tuya.
What is a wireless thermostat for a boiler?
A wireless thermostat for a boiler controls heating demand without requiring a cable between the room thermostat and the heat source. The thermostat measures room temperature and sends a radio-frequency signal to the RF receiver installed near the boiler.
This makes wireless thermostats particularly useful in finished homes, apartments and renovation projects. The thermostat can be positioned in a suitable location for accurate room temperature measurement without installing new control wiring through the property. Depending on the model, temperature can be adjusted locally, scheduled or controlled through the Smart Life / Tuya app.
Q20 or Q30 Wireless?
Both models are available as standalone thermostat solutions with an RF receiver included. The main differences are the display, power supply and overall user experience.

Q20 wireless thermostat for boilers
Smart wireless thermostat with touch controls, RF receiver included and temperature control through the Smart Life / Tuya app.
- RF receiver included
- Smart Life / Tuya app control
- AA battery powered
- Available in white or black

Q30 wireless thermostat with e-Ink display
Premium wireless thermostat with e-Ink display, rechargeable Li-Ion battery, USB-C charging and RF receiver included.
- e-Ink display
- Rechargeable Li-Ion battery
- USB-C charging
- Available in white or black

The RF receiver controls the boiler
The RF receiver is installed near the boiler and receives heating commands from the thermostat. When room temperature drops below the set value, the receiver requests heat. Once the target temperature is reached, the heating demand stops.
Wireless communication between thermostat and receiver removes the need for a control cable running through the property and allows the thermostat to be positioned where room temperature can be measured more effectively.

No thermostat wiring
Installation without running a new control cable between the thermostat and boiler.
Control from your phone
Adjust temperature settings and heating schedules through the compatible app.
Flexible positioning
Position the thermostat in a suitable area for representative room temperature measurement.
RF receiver included
A complete wireless solution for sending ON/OFF heating demand to the boiler.
Wireless thermostats for boilers, apartments and houses
Boiler control
Direct heat-demand control through the RF receiver, without a thermostat cable between the room and heat source.
Apartments and renovations
Particularly suitable when the property is already finished and additional wall work is undesirable.
Houses and residential spaces
Flexible temperature control and heating scheduling for residential applications.
Two different ways to use Q20 and Q30
Thermostat + RF receiver + boiler
To control a boiler directly, a Q20 or Q30 thermostat works together with its RF receiver. An underfloor heating manifold controller is not required for this standalone configuration.
Thermostat + controller + thermal actuators
In a complete underfloor heating system, wireless thermostats can form part of a multi-zone control system together with the Q20 controller and thermal actuators on the heating manifold.
Functions available on Q20 and Q30
Heating / cooling mode
Select the operating mode according to the season and the heating or cooling installation being controlled.
Temperature calibration
Adjust the displayed temperature if necessary to match the actual room temperature.
Frost protection
Maintain a minimum protection temperature to reduce the risk of excessive cooling.
Switching differential
Adjust the temperature difference used to determine when heating starts and stops.
Key / child lock
Lock local controls to reduce accidental changes to temperature settings.
Open-window detection
OWD can temporarily limit heating when a rapid drop in room temperature is detected.

2-year warranty for consumers
Quicksmart wireless thermostats are supplied with a 2-year consumer warranty. In the event of a confirmed product fault, the product is handled according to the applicable warranty procedure.
For correct operation, the thermostat and RF receiver must be installed in accordance with the electrical diagram and the instructions supplied with the product.
Questions about wireless thermostats for boilers
Does the wireless thermostat include an RF receiver?
Yes. The standalone Q20 and Q30 boiler thermostat configurations are supplied with the RF receiver required to transmit heating demand to the boiler.
Do I need an underfloor heating controller?
No, not when the thermostat is used only to control a boiler as a standalone thermostat. A manifold controller is used when building a complete multi-zone underfloor heating control system.
What is the difference between Q20 and Q30?
Q20 uses AA batteries and touch controls. Q30 uses a rechargeable Li-Ion battery, USB-C charging and an e-Ink display.
Can I control the thermostat from my phone?
Yes. Compatible smart configurations can be controlled through Smart Life / Tuya, subject to the product and Wi-Fi configuration.
Is a wireless thermostat suitable for renovations?
Yes. It is particularly useful in finished properties because no new thermostat control cable is required between the room and boiler.
Can Q20 or Q30 also be used with underfloor heating?
Yes, depending on the system configuration. As standalone products they can control boiler demand, while in a dedicated Q20 system they can form part of a complete multi-zone underfloor heating control installation.
