Q10 wired underfloor heating control for a multi-level home – 4 zones with Q10 thermostats
This Quicksmart Q10 configuration is designed for larger or multi-level homes and installations with two manifolds. The 2 Q10 Controllers allow the heating system to be organised by floor or manifold, while the 4 Q10 thermostats provide individual room temperature control.
The wired architecture is particularly suitable for new builds and complete renovations where thermostat wiring can be prepared before the walls are finished.
Each temperature zone can control one or more manifold circuits. The Q10 Controller can also manage thermal actuators, circulation-pump demand and boiler demand according to the active zones.
Quicksmart Q10 is designed for individual room-by-room underfloor heating control. The controller receives demand from the wired room thermostats, operates the manifold actuators and can also manage circulation-pump and boiler demand.

Important information about this Q10 Wired configuration
The Q10 system uses permanent wired connections between the room thermostats and the controller. The exact kit contents are shown above for the selected product.
Wired system
The room thermostats are connected by cable directly to the Q10 Controller. The controller receives heating demand from each zone and coordinates the corresponding manifold circuits.
Minimum 3 wires
The thermostat installation requires the appropriate wiring for permanent power supply and control communication. Plan the thermostat cabling before finishing walls or mounting boxes.
Direct wired room control
The Q10 thermostat is connected directly to the Q10 Controller for stable, permanent room-by-room heating control within the wired system architecture.
Individual zone control
Each thermostat represents a temperature zone. One zone may control one or several underfloor-heating loops, depending on the manifold configuration.
Q10 kits can be ordered with or without actuators
If compatible actuators are already installed on the manifold, a configuration without actuators can be selected. When actuators are included, the quantity shown in this kit represents the controlled manifold circuits included in the selected product.
How Q10 Wired underfloor heating control works
Each thermostat monitors its room while the Q10 Controller coordinates the heating circuits and heat-source demand.
The thermostat measures room temperature
Each thermostat compares the measured temperature with the selected setpoint.
Demand reaches the Q10 Controller
The heating request is transmitted through the wired connection.
The required circuits open
The controller activates the actuator or actuators assigned to the requesting zone.
Pump and boiler demand can be activated
The Q10 Controller can request heat only when at least one zone needs heating.
Q10 Controller for wired underfloor heating control
The Q10 Controller is the central unit of the wired Quicksmart system. It receives demand from the room thermostats and manages the manifold actuators assigned to each heating zone.
One controller can manage up to 8 room thermostats and up to 32 actuators. A temperature zone may control one or several underfloor-heating circuits.
It can also control the circulation pump and provide boiler demand according to the active heating zones.

Q10 Wired Smart Thermostat
Surface-mounted wired smart thermostat with LCD display, glass front panel, touch controls and Smart Life connectivity.
Q10 has a flat back and is installed directly on the wall surface, making it suitable where a recessed wall box is not required.
The thermostat is permanently powered and communicates with the Q10 Controller through the wired installation. Smart Life / Tuya provides remote temperature control and scheduling.

NC thermal actuators for underfloor-heating manifolds
Quicksmart electrothermal actuators are installed on the manifold and allow the Q10 Controller to open or close the heating circuits assigned to each temperature zone.
This configuration contains 15 NC actuators. The actuator quantity represents the number of controlled manifold circuits, not necessarily the number of rooms.
Q10 kits can also be configured without actuators when compatible actuators are already installed on the manifold.

Thermostat and actuator connections
